Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and the general basis on which we provide drywall services. The specific terms of any job we carry out for you are set out in the written quote and any agreement you sign, and where those differ from anything here, the signed agreement governs.
This website is information, not an offer
Descriptions of services, processes and prices on this site are provided for general information. Nothing here is a binding offer, a quotation or a guarantee of price or availability. Pricing ranges shown are regional figures published to help you plan, and your actual price comes only from a written quote issued after we have assessed the work.
Estimates and quotes
Estimates are free. We provide them in writing with the scope, materials and finish level itemised. A written quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
Quotes cover the conditions we could observe at the time. Drywall work regularly uncovers conditions that were not visible beforehand, including moisture, mould, damaged framing, undersized board, failed previous repairs and non-compliant wiring or plumbing inside a wall. Where that happens, we stop and discuss it with you before doing further work. Additional work is only carried out with your approval, and changes to scope or price are confirmed in writing.
Scheduling and access
We will agree a start date with you and keep you informed of any change. Drywall finishing depends on joint compound drying between coats, and in humid conditions that takes longer. Where weather or humidity extends a schedule we will tell you, because working to a fixed schedule regardless of drying conditions produces defective work.
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, and to move or allow us to move valuables and fragile items out of it. We protect floors, trim and adjacent areas as a matter of course, but we ask that irreplaceable items are removed by you before we start.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in your quote. Larger projects may require a deposit and progress payments at agreed stages. Final payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Workmanship
We warrant our workmanship as stated in your written quote or agreement. That warranty covers defects in the work we performed. It does not cover damage arising from causes outside our work, including but not limited to continuing structural or foundation movement, new water intrusion, leaks from roofing or plumbing, impact damage, normal settlement cracking of a building, alterations made by others, or failure to maintain the property.
Where drywall damage results from an ongoing cause such as foundation movement, water intrusion or attic condensation, we will tell you so before quoting. Repairs carried out at your direction without the underlying cause being resolved are not warranted against recurrence, for the straightforward reason that the cause has not gone away.
Materials and substitutions
We specify board type and finish level in your quote. Where a specified product is unavailable we will substitute an equivalent and tell you. On fire-rated assemblies we do not substitute components, because a rating belongs to a complete tested system and altering any part of it voids the rating.
Asbestos and hazardous materials
We are not a licensed asbestos abatement contractor and do not perform abatement. Textured ceilings and patching compounds in homes built before the early 1980s may contain asbestos, and we will not disturb suspect material without a certified laboratory test result. Where material tests positive, we will refer you to a licensed abatement contractor. Any delay or additional cost arising from testing or abatement is outside our scope.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, our liability arising from our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Photographs
We may photograph completed work for our own records and portfolio. Photographs will not identify your address or any personal information. If you would prefer we did not photograph your project, tell us and we will not.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.
